“Since I was a child, I have dreamt about fairies who live at the bottom of the garden. In high school, whilst studying Shakespeare I discovered ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ and I was hooked,” says Decinda “Cinderella” MacDonald of Sugar and Spice Events.
“No matter what the occasion, I look for an excuse to have a party in the garden. So it was only fitting that one of the themes I would love to bring to life was the Enchanted Garden look.”
“The aim of this design was to capture the whimsy and romance of the make-believe,” says Decinda. “The crisp night air embellished with the warm glow of twinkling candlelight; elaborate, wild flower-inspired centrepieces and a wedding banquet table that appears to ‘grow’ out of the earth itself.”
Decinda added that a natural colour palette of sage green and brown with soft pastel, unstructured florals were used to achieve this wedding theme.
